Who Is Gohan?

In the year 2011 Gohan was conceived in the hills of Kaimuki over looking world famous Diamond Head and Waikiki Beach.  His main mission in life is to help those less fortunate and especially children who are not able to fend for themselves.

0711smallGohanRiceGuyOur “rice guy” is a caring and loveable character who often waves the “shaka” sign. In Hawaii that means you can bet he is not only local but also wants to be your friend.  He is always cheerful and thanks you for your kindness towards your fellow humans and strangers alike for you never know who you might be helping.

Gohan’s motto is “Have a Rice Day, Feed the Hungry” and needs your kokua in supporting the Hawaii Food Banks on all the Islands of Hawaii by donating a twenty pound bag of rice or $12 to one of the many participating credit unions in Hawaii.  The food banks on all islands will then distribute food to the over 250 agencies who help feed the hungry.

Last year the food banks on all islands helped feed over 185,500 different people and this year the need will be even greater as these challenging times are forcing more people to look for additional assistance.
